It’s time for our annual old fashioned church family picnic!
On Children’s Day, June 10, wear your picnic clothes to church. Immediately following worship, we’ll head across the street to the softball area for some delicious dining on “tube steaks” (hot dogs) with chili, sauerkraut, pasta salad, ice cream treats (donated by Mary Ellen Taylor) and fun-filled games led by Rev. Wilson. Bring sun-screen, a hearty appetite, and be ready to join in the spirit of the games, either by participating, or by being part of the cheering crowd! You may wish to bring a folding chair, as well.
Rev. Wilson will lead children of all ages through the traditional water balloon toss, bubblegum blowing contest, three-legged and sack races, and tug-of-war! There will be plenty to eat and drink. This is a wonderful time of celebration for our whole church family to enjoy together!
For more information, or if you’d like to volunteer to help, contact the picnic chairperson Kristen Schilling, Julia Manners, or any member of the Board of Christian Education.
